Tahlequah, OK (April 4, 2019) – Two Cherokee County Public School Districts were honored on Thursday for their efforts to improve health through the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET) Healthy Incentive Program for Schools.

Tahlequah Public Schools received a $15,000 grant and will be using the funds for Farm to School programs with Farmers Markets at elementary school sites, playground improvement, and new bike racks.

Grand View Public Schools received a $2,000 grant in 2018 and used the funds for a water bottle-filling hydration station at the school. 

Delaware County (April 4, 2019) – Three Delaware County Public School Districts were honored on Thursday for their efforts to improve health through the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET) Healthy Incentive Program for Schools.

Jay Public Schools received a $25,000 grant and will be using the funds for playground equipment and improvement.

Colcord Public Schools received a $17,000 grant and will be using the funds for hydration stations and replacement drinking fountains, cafeteria tables, and safe street crossing. 

Nowata, OK (April 3, 2019) – Two Nowata County Public School Districts were honored on Wednesday for their efforts to improve health through the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET) Healthy Incentive Program for Schools.

Nowata Public Schools received a $17,000 grant and will be using the funds for playground improvement and greenhouse improvement.

South Coffeyville Public Schools received a $12,000 grant and will be using the funds for playground equipment and improvement.

Bluejacket, OK (April 3, 2019) – Bluejacket Public Schools was honored on Wednesday for their efforts to improve health through the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET) Healthy Incentive Program for Schools.

To receive the $12,000 incentive grant, Bluejacket Public Schools put a variety of policies and strategies in place to promote health and wellness for students and staff. The district will be using the grant funds for updates to their walking track and new basketball equipment.

Waurika, OK (March 29, 2019) – Waurika Public Schools was honored on Friday for their efforts to improve health through the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET) Healthy Incentive Program for Schools.

To receive the $15,000 incentive grant, Waurika Public Schools put a variety of policies and strategies in place to promote health and wellness for students and staff. The district will be using the grant funds for playground equipment and improvement.
