Working at TSET
The mission of TSET is to improve the health and quality of life of all Oklahomans through accountable programs and services that address the hazards of tobacco use and other health issues. All TSET employees are asked to fulfill, promote and further the mission of the agency.
TSET Mission and Funding
TSET has focused funding on reducing Oklahoma’s leading causes of preventable death – tobacco use and obesity – in order to reduce cancer and cardiovascular disease. As a state grantmaking trust, TSET funds prevention, research and emerging opportunities to improve the health of every Oklahoman.

TSET is a state agency and therefore, employees of TSET are state employees. Positions at TSET are unclassified positions are not subject to the Merit System. Unclassified roles are filled based on background and experience as presented in resumes and during interviews. Practices may vary from one agency to another.
